Experimental Universe
– Re-enactments and Imaginings

Experience re-enactments and sonic tributes as OtherFilm explore Yoko Ono’s key artistic, philosophical and political propositions across two nights of screenings, performances and live music. The program focuses on Ono’s use of instructional and score-based systems across sound, film and performance, framing her work as a methodology that can be utilised, tested and extended by contemporary artists in a range of fields.

Experience lesser-known films by Yoko Ono, including collaborations with John Lennon, plus contemporary film artists David Haines, Nathan Gray and Artist Film Workshop’s, interpretations of Ono’s Six Film Scripts (1964) and Imaginary Film Series (1968) presented in a live expanded cinema performance and screening event followed by a sonic tribute to the noise of Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band by Bum Creek.
