Blog – Hello 2016

Posted on Feb. 5, 2016 by Athena Cabot in Creative Learning. View Comments

Welcome back to school and another exciting year in creative learning! With the first term under way, we look forward to sharing our exciting program of MCA exhibitions and creative learning experiences in the coming months and throughout 2016.

Over the school holidays, hundreds of kids and their families participated in our Contemporary Kids program, Tiwi Tales, responding to the Being Tiwi exhibition through performance, imagination, and hands-on creation. If you are planning a visit to the MCA in the near future, be sure to check out this magnificent show full of prints and paintings by artists from the Tiwi Islands and have a colourful encounter with Mikala Dwyer’s large-scale, immersive works from the MCA Collection on Level 1.

Grayson Perry: My Pretty Little Art Career is on until May, an opportunity for school groups to engage in a contemporary conversation with pottery and tapestry.
Have a closer look at the upcoming program and exhibition highlights in our top picks for 2016 blog post.

Wishing everyone a brilliant year and we hope to see you soon.
