The Sydney International Art Series 2013–14 was officially launched on 23 July 2013 10am at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW) in the presence of the New South Wales Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Hospitality and Racing, and Minister for the Arts, the Hon. George Souris, AGNSW Director Dr Michael Brand and MCA Acting Director Michael Snelling. Also attending the event were AGNSW Curator Chris McAuliffe and MCA Chief Curator Rachel Kent.

This year’s blockbuster Sydney International Art Series exhibitions are America: Painting a Nation at the AGNSW (8 November 2013 – 9 February 2014) and War Is Over! (if you want it): Yoko Ono at the MCA (15 November 2013 to 23 February 2014). Tickets are on sale via the MCA and AGNSW websites.

There is a joint Sydney International Art Pass offering a 20% discount on tickets to both exhibitions.

The full breakdown of available options can be seen on both the MCA and AGNSW websites.

Created by Destination NSW and supported by the NSW Government, the Sydney International Art Series is a signature event on the NSW Events Calendar, which features a range of vibrant arts and cultural events exclusive to Sydney.
