The MCA welcomes all visitors and is committed to making its programs and services accessible to everyone.

Level Access
You can access the MCA via the George Street entrance, The Rocks or through lift access via Circular Quay West. All public areas of the Museum, including the MCA Store, MCA Cafe and Restaurant and galleries are accessible via lifts.

You’ll find parking spaces on George Street opposite the entrance to the Museum for vehicles approved to use designated public parking spaces. Parking is also available a short distance from the Museum at Wilson Parking, 155 George Street, The Rocks. Enter via George Street where the Cahill Expressway crosses over George Street. More parking can be found at Wilson Parking Grosvenor Place, 225 George Street, The Rocks. Valet parking is available at the Park Hyatt, 7 Hickson Road, The Rocks.

You can borrow these at no charge from the Information Desk on level 1.

Guide Dogs
Assistance and guide dogs are welcome at the MCA. A water bowl is available at the Information Desk.

Hearing Loops
There are hearing loops available in the Veolia Lecture Theatre, Seminar Room, throughout the National Centre for Creative Learning and the level 6 Rooftop Venues.

Fully accessible toilets are located on the ground level, levels 2 and 3, level 4 Cafe, level 6 Rooftop Venues and in the National Centre for Creative Learning.

Large Print Captions
All MCA exhibition labels are available in large font by request at the Information Desk or from a member of staff.

The MCA website is designed to support, meet and exceed web standards where possible. With planned improvements overtime the MCA aims to follow WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 to Priority 1.

Enlarging Text

In most browsers on a Windows PC you can enlarge the font by holding Ctrl and pressing +. On a Mac, hold the Apple key and press +.

If this doesn’t work for you try the following:

  • Chrome: Click the wrench icon on your browser toolbar and select ‘Options’ then ‘Under the Hood’ and in the ‘Web Content’ section use ‘Font Size to make adjustments
  • Firefox: Go to the View menu and select Text Size 'Increase’ or 'Decease’
  • Internet Explorer: Go to the View menu and select Text Size 'Larger’ or 'Largest’
  • Safari: Go to the View menu and select 'Make Text Bigger’ or 'Make Text Smaller’
