How would you describe your performance in Workout?

A performative score of new and existing work by Agatha Gothe-Snape that has been developed in conversation with Susan Gibb.

In what ways is your performance a work out?

Responding to the curatorial framework and structure of Workout, our project could be considered in these terms as it will be durational, unfolding in acts across the day. It could also be considered in these terms as the final resolution of the score will be worked out in its enaction, the process of its presentation. It will not be rehearsed.

How do you envisage the audience engaging with your work? Is there audience participation?

The audience is always an active participant and is therefore an important component of the work. Viewers will participate by looking, thinking and feeling.

How do you approach transforming the MCA’s new Level 1 North Gallery in one day?

The space is an important component of the work. It will be transformed through its acknowledgement and subtle interventions with PowerPoints, sculptures, text and movement to name a few things.

Will you have an online presence allowing the audience outside the Museum to follow your performance?

How can people find out more about you?
