– Young Creatives

MCA’s Young Creatives program is full of opportunities for you and your friends to create, think, make and get involved. From festival-style experiences with hundreds of like-minded young people, to intimate art-making or performance workshops with artists, the MCA offers the chance for every young creative to take part in an adventurous and diverse range of creative activities.

Designed by the MCA Youth Committee, by teenagers for teenagers, Genext offers exclusive after-hours access to the MCA.
At Genext, young people from all over Sydney embrace the freedom to explore, connect and make art with established artists and hundreds of like-minded people – all among a vibrant festival atmosphere with live music, performances, participatory experiences and tasty free snacks.

Gain experience working alongside artists and art professionals as part of the MCA’s Youth Committee or Young Guides

Teen-Guided Tours

Experience MCA artworks through the eyes of a teenager. Aged 14–19, Young Guides deliver professional and insightful guided tours injected with their fresh perspective, honesty and vitality – every second Sunday at 12.00pm.
