Kids and Families

Spark your imagination and creativity with a family visit to the MCA. We offer an exciting range of opportunities which inspire adults and children to discover contemporary art and participate in fun and playful learning experiences together.

JOIN US FOR AN ART SAFARI!

This month we’re exploring SPECTACULAR sounds! Come on a journey through the gallery as we listen very carefully for sounds all around! Create snazzy sound effects as we read along to a story then head into the creative studios to create a collaborative sound work! This intimate program invites 3-5 year olds and their carers to investigate contemporary art in a fun and friendly environment with other art-loving families!

10.30 – 11.30am & 1 – 2pm

Kids Committee

9 fabulous families will be working with us throughout the year, to brainstorm new program ideas and ensure our programs continue to fulfill the needs of our culturally diverse family audiences. Children in the committee range in age from 3 to 12 years, with families hailing from Western Sydney, South Coast, Northern Suburbs, Eastern Suburbs, Sydney Metro and the Inner West.
