MCA SOCIAL presented by the MCA Young Ambassadors
MCA Young Ambassadors hosted one of the most highly anticipated parties of the year on Saturday 20 July 2013 to raise funds for the 2014 edition of the Primavera 2013: Young Australian Artists. By all accounts the event was a great success with over $48,000 raised by 246 guests.
The night began in the MCA Foyer with Wangechi Mutu exhibition open to explore. Speeches by MCA Acting Director Michael Snelling and MCA Young Ambassadors Nick Tobias and Bianca Spender kicked off the night.
The crowd was then led pied-piper style by Alaska Projects – Alaska Orchestra to the rooftop venue beautifully styled by Gemma Lush. Headlining the event was 1980s–inspired Melbourne-based synth-pop duo Client Liaison and DJ Annie Conley.
The night was topped off with a live auction conducted by Ray White’s James Price and the announcement of the winner of an art trip to New York.
Great energy, great people, great success!
