Kids & Family Programs
Have fun at any age and ability with the MCA’s range of programs for kids and families. Art-making workshops, performances, special events, school holiday programs, family workshops and kids activity sheets provide fun and innovative ways for kids, mums, dads, grandparents and caregivers to explore MCA exhibitions.
RECYCLE, REMAKE, REINVENT!
Discover how recycled materials can be used to create art. Be inspired by the exhibition In the Balance and explore art that grows! Cost includes all materials, bring your own lunch.
Date: Wednesday 29 September (5 – 7 year olds)
Time: 10.30am-2.00pm
Cost: $30/$25 MCA members
Date: Thursday 30 September (8 – 12 year olds)
Time: 10.30am-3.00pm
Cost: $40/$35 MCA members

The MCA’s unique social program for parents and carers with babies. Join MCA staff for lively one hour guided exhibition tours, followed by coffee and biscuits in the MCA Café. Prams and front packs welcome.

The MCA’s exciting new program introducing contemporary art to pre-schoolers aged 18 months to 4 year olds. Children and carers will explore artworks in the current exhibitions with play based learning approaches including music, storytelling, drama and art making in the galleries.

ARTY PARTIES
Book a 60-minute or 90-minute program led by an MCA Art Educator which includes mini exhibition tours and fun art-making activities in the galleries.
