Foundation Hall

The beautifully refurbished Foundation Hall in the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia blends 1930s Art Deco P&O style with a distinctive contemporary edge. Traditional materials such as marble, stone, timber and fabric blend with modern finishes to create a truly unique space.

Once the original reception hall of the former Maritime Services Board, the MCA Foundation Hall is an impressive ballroom with seven-metre high ceilings and windows that open out onto a foreshore terrace overlooking Circular Quay towards the Sydney Opera House.

Culinary Edge is the exclusive caterer to the MCA Foundation Hall. Using the freshest ingredients from Sydney’s top providores, fine wines, elegant table settings and impeccable service, Culinary Edge will provide you with an event to remember.

Standard evening hire (3.00pm–12 midnight) for the Foundation Hall is $4200 +GST.
